9月29日 a dry day... ... that 's how i spent my day... ... sad, isnt it?what a dry lesson i had today at poly u. BORING.
another 8.100 <- tuition fee to polyu! sad >.<
After uni, i had dinner with terence (fat Kam) and Smith from my previous 7A class. They are doing fine in Lingnan. Funny that they keep moaning about not having nice looking gals at campus. They said that they had been so attentive in lectures coz there were no nice gals they could look at and kept them distracted. haha
lately been thinking about whether i am a good teacher or not... ... very difficult to answer. it would make me feel way better if someone can ditch right at my face and tell me i am shit in teaching and in being a role modal for my students... ... em... ... need some deep thinking... ... 9月26日 盤菜dinneryesterday was mid-autumn festival. how did you celebrate? i think most of you had gone to a beach near you, right? (as i have heard from some of you ^^). i didnt do much though. i am not the type of guy who can “人月兩團完” coz i am still single (damn!
One of my uncles said that he seldom had chances to look up the evening sky so peacefully. what he said suddenly struck me because i also seldom looked up the sky with a clear head. it was a very peaceful night. <- kind of ironic though =V=...
As for today, i just got back from a 盤菜dinner in a village nearby. it was alright although the food was a bit dull to me (coz i normally have like 5 even to 10 盤菜dinners a year and they are all the same... ... ). The eating part of dull but the entertainment part was kinda good though. The organisation (聯慶堂) invited some singers (from the 70's probably) like 陳浩X and 方伊X. there was also a very interesting magic show and lion dance. i love lion dance! enjoy the pics ^^ 9月25日 happy mid-autumn "Happy Mid-Autumn festival!!"
To EVERYONE in the entire
LOVE + PEACE!! 9月24日 VERY MAD!I AM SO NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!!! WHY CAN'T PEOPLE TALK THINGS OUT INSTEAD OF BEING SO SUPERIOR>.< 9月23日 A good tiring dayYesterday (22/09) was a challenging day. I went jogging with two of the form 6 students, Ray and Jason. We started from Leung King (良景) and heading towards school. I wasn’t a very good runner since I haven’t trained for quite a long time. I had to stop near IVE. After jogging, we decided to head up Mount Ching (青山) and we did! I was quite exhausted on the way up and I had to stop frequently just to get my breath back. However, Ray and Jason had no problems and they were good. It was great standing on top of Mount Ching feeling the breeze and enjoying the view (although it was quite hazy yesterday). I thought I had completed the mission of the day until Ray mentioned something about walking back to Leung King through the mountain range. I agreed with him because I thought it was a good idea at that time and so we did. The journey from Mount Ching to Leung King was tough still I enjoyed it to the fullness (not the mention that i had to stop for like a hundred times before arriving Leung King). The only sad thing was that I didn’t bring with me a camera.
It was also Terence’s wedding yesterday. Van, Lin, Bonnie, Mr Chu and I went to his wedding reception in Mong Kok. Miss Yuen was also there too. Mr Chu got there early and the rest of us arrived almost at the same time. Terence also invited some of his Econ students to his wedding reception. They were also my S7A students last year. The wedding reception was alright though. The food was ok but I thought the dessert could be a little bit better. After the dinner, three of my 7A kids (Fat Kim, Jacky and Sam) and I went to play computer games in TST until half 3 in the morning. When I got back home, it was already half 4. I went straight to bed and slept until 2 in the afternoon today.
It was a looooong day for me. (and a good day) 9月19日 A quizThis is the 3rd week of teaching and i can say that things are going smoothly. my form 6 students are alright though. most of them are quite hard working and only some are lazy. i gave them a quiz today without telling them before hand. they were shocked when i asked them to clear their desks and be ready for the quiz. Of course, i was very happy to see the look on their faces.
"Wonderful" i said to myself feeling abit contented. hahahaha how evil of me!!!! 9月14日 headache can kill (me)I was once again defeated by my long time companion - headache. I couldnt wake up today because of heavy headache. felt like vomitting when standing straight. Got better after taking some pain-killer tablets and going back to bed for a few more hours.
I wanted to take the whole day off today but i thought that it would not be good if other teachers were to take my lessons. They should need some quiet time inside the staff room instead.
finally, got my passport renewed after a long battle with the consulate office. feeling relieved all of a sudden. i found a DVD of me and my friends travelling in Xi'an three years ago. i looked young and somehow childish. that was a really good trip. the best i ever had. 9月11日 911How do you feel about '911'? Is it just a number to you or would you pay sympathy to those who lost their lives during the tragic incident.
When it happened, i was in the UK. i was told to watch the news by a friend of mine. It was very shocking indeed. My family and i were watching the news together and we didnt say anything. Actually we couldnt say anything. We were all shocked. It was more shocking than hearing the news of Princess Diana's death.
So many innocent people lost their lives on that very day. The victims on the planes that crashed into the World Trade Centre in New York and the firefighters who risked their lives saving the people in the buildings should never be forgotten. And those who survived from the tragedy are still living in nightmares cast by the images of the buildings collapsing onto them.
Let's put our hearts together for those who lost their lives on that day. And may those who survived can find peace within themselves.
9月9日 A new year Just had my first week of work and it wasn't bad you know. My 6A students were quite nice to each other although i started to see some mini-society going on which i didn't really like. They were quite quiet during the first week of lessons and they seldom answered questions. hope they will be more active as they know more about me and the school. just dont be 'too' active though.
Finally bought a new TV for my house. A 37 inch flat screen TV for the living room. Wanted to get a bigger one originally but i thought 42" would be too big for the size of my living room. Got it installed today with the help of my 'tong mui''s boyfriend. The TV is fine but there is just one tiny thing i am not very happy with. It is that the picture shows up 6 - 8 seconds after the power is switched on. didn't get the functions of the model when i bought it at the shop. When can i be a little bit smarter!! 9月4日 JCCSS(TM) 30th AnniversaryIt is our school's 30th anniversary this year and we will hold many activities which are related to the celebration of such wonderful occasion. Our students are going to have so much fun but we (teachers) will definitely NOT!! (sigh) So much work we have to deal with besides teaching. I think it will be fun if we can all do it together though. Especially with the group of people i like to work with. :P
The first day of school started on Monday but proper lesson time will not start until tomorrow. I met and talked with my new S6 kids in the past two days and they seemed alright though. hope that we will get along well. (fingers cross - cheeky cheeky)
