Finally have time and the patience to sit down and update my blog. I have always thought of updating it but I have always been distracted by something else. Lately, I have been teaching my friend the piano. He wants to learn just one song though. He learns it for the day when he gets married. He is engaged and he is going to get married in late March. It will be his mysterious performance on that very evening. I feel so happy for him and on that day, I am going to be one of his ‘brothers’. He comes quite often these days and I can tell he really wants to make it perfect for his future wife. He is not a musical person and doesn’t sing well. What’s more is that he doesn’t even have a piano at home. He comes to my place after work or at weekends just to practice. He has perseverance.

 

For work, my S7 has finished all the school exams and they will come back for 3 more days in early March to conclude their A-level education with us. I will miss them a lot since I have put a lot of effort in them. I sincerely hope that they can tackle the A-level exam with ease. I want them to bring the school good news. When they come back for the result slips in July or something, I want them to cry because of happiness.

 

So here goes my S7. What about S4 and S6 then. Yes man! I am teaching S7, S6 and S4!! Could you believe it!! My friends all said that I was mad teaching 3 senior classes and that the school was torturing its staff. I don’t really care though and I quite enjoy teaching them. ^^ Ah, my S4. They are all my kids because I have been teaching them since they were in S1 and now they are all in S4. Lately many have come to me and said that they would like to join my weekend lessons with my 4Q. I am happy that they have trust in me just that I can't afford to look after so many at the same time. I have already had 36 in my 4Q plus 2 from other classes, which makes 38. It isn’t a lot compared with a class of 40 but I find it more effective teaching a smaller class.

 

Teaching 4Q is such a laugh. I have so many hilarious moments with them and they sure know how to make me laugh. I find myself more relaxed this year with my students. I was really strict last academic year and I picked on almost everything. Most of the students were afraid of me, including my last year’s S6 which is this year S7. Sometimes, they found it too scared to talk to me! I am better this year. My S6 this year told me to remain ‘kind’. Haha

 

As for S6, well, I don’t really have much to complain about. However, I would be much happier if they could spend some time on UE. They don’t seem to care about UE. I do feel disappointed sometimes when teaching them. Whatever anyway, they are kids and that’s why I am here. Right? ^^

the holiday has ended and now i am back to work. a bit unwilling actually. I went back to YL school yesterday just to see how everyone was getting on and they were good. I took some cakes for the staff and some came to congratulate me because they thought i was gonna get married. haha very fuuny indeed.

 

Everyone was really good there and oh man i do love their staff room. very spacious and bright!! i just have to say it over and over again.

 

After visiting YL school, i went to Fat Van's house with Bonni, KaYuen, ChuHin and his wife Yan for a new year gathering. we played card games and the loser of each game had to eat something very nasty. i couldnt believe that i lost three times. I was like eating poo poo!! nasty stuff.

 

what i have been worried about has finally come to surface=_= and it isnt easy. me is gonna 'die hard'!!
