sex experience

What do teenagers think about the topic ‘sex’? Is it too intimidating to talk about it? Are you very causal about it? What is your attitude towards it? Are you curious about such topic?

The results of a recent survey conducted by The Family Planning Association of Hong Kong (家計會) on teenagers’ attitudes towards sex was published. The results were overwhelming. Among the 2380 S3 – S7 students surveyed shows that 13% (roughly about 309) of the boys and 8.3% (roughly about 198) of the girls have sex experience. Some were only 15 when they first had sex. The percentages have gone up dramatically since 15 years ago.

The results show that nowadays, teenagers are more open-minded about sexual relationship. However, the lack of sex education may lead to problems. Most students surveyed don’t know much about sex education.

I find dating acceptable when studying in school (the school may not). However, staying overnight at your boyfriend / girlfriend’s place or being too intimate isn’t a good idea because you don’t know what will happen. So be wise and don’t make a mistake that will ruin your life forever.

Ms Chan and her baby

We went to visit Ms Chan and her baby tonight. Her baby is very cute. It is a little boy. He was sleeping when we got there. Ms Chan is very good but a bit tired looking after her baby. She will be back in December.

3B made a card for her and they wrote a lot of messages for her. Ms Chan likes the card very much. Thanks 3B. Ms Chan miss you guys a lot too ^^

Arrested for more freedom!!

Would it sound ridiculous to you if I said to you that promoting democracy would lead to a 10-year imprisonment?

We are lucky in a way because we (Hong Kong people) can promote democracy whenever we want. Actually, you see the politicians doing it everyday. In addition, people are protesting all the time for more freedom and more communication channels with the government (by the way, do they ever get tired of walking down the same road over and over again? I mean, is protesting the only way to make our government listen? Tell me about it.)

If you are a resident in Mainland, maybe you will think twice before doing so. It would be safe if you don’t disclose your identity and have your face covered when shouting for more freedom. If the Chinese government knows who you really are, they will hunt you down and put you in jail. No matter what! That’s why China always bears a very negative image to most Hong Kong people. Because there is no free speech!

Many people were arrested for promoting democracy or inciting the overthrow of the government. Recently, a man was arrested and sentenced to 10 years in jail for publishing an article on democracy on the web. He wasn’t stupid enough to include his identity in his paper. However, Yahoo, a (silly) search engine company, released his personal details along with the article. That’s how he was traced and arrested.

What makes a good citizen? Is being silent good?

How would you feel if there were no free speech in Hong Kong?

Yeah (not) !! Got interviewed

some teachers and students were interviewed today by a local newspaper about the school blog. it was funny though because my S6 students were sort of nervous. i was a bit too. i told the 4 S6 students about the interview yesterday and they were surprised that they would be interviewed. With the S6, there were also some students from other forms in the room. i guess it worked well.
Train was so funny today because 1st, he wore contact lenses today (pls Train, it wasnt necessary. you were good with glasses!) and 2nd, he disappeared for a bit before the interview. He went to gel (or wax...) his hair in the SU room! And the gals, they were fab. The different expressions on Christina's face made me laugh for so many times.

it was the 1st time i got interviewed. i wasnt very excited though. If i were younger, maybe i would be more excited. As i get older, things dont seem to surprise me as much as when i was younger.

sports day

it was our sports day yesterday and today (a two-day event). my duty on these two days wasn't heavy because my team worked well together. i actually felt a bit sorry to Mr CW Lau because he did most of the work when i was away for the 1500m race on the 1st day, and the 5000m race and the 4X100m race on the 2nd day. So thanks a lot to Mr CW Lau.

Feeling extremely exhausted after the two-day sports day. I took part in the 1500m on the 1st day. i thought i couldnt finish it and i told my students that i would not be able to finish it before the start of the race. I didnt have much confidence since i havent trained for almost a year now. i had doubt. However, i finished it. i was very happy. My students were cheering for me. Some were standing next to the track and some were shouting from the spectators stand.

Today, i took part in the 5000m and joined the SU team for the 4X100 race. Again, i thought i couldnt finish the 5000 and again i told my students the same thing. In the end, i finished it. I took part in it with Ralph and Cyrus, Mr Lee, Mr Ng, Mr Lau (vice-prin) and the ladies from the English department, and 19 other students. All the misters finished the 5000m. The ladies shared the 5000m. We were happy. I will definately take part in the 1500 and the 5000 again next year.. ... with preperation of course ^^. My students were very supportive because they were not only cheering for me next to the track and on the stand, some even ran along side with me for at least 800m.

For the 4X100m, i ran with Train and Choi Man from S6 and Shui Lun from S5. we were the 1st in our division but we didnt get any medals because our time was slower than some other teams from another division. Sad.. .. isnt it.

Today, at the 5000m, Dora, Siu Poon, Ms Wan, our female vice-prin Ms Shum, Carrie, Catherine, Gloria and Virginia (all from the Eng Department) shared the 5000m. they were great. it was so much fun running like mad!

tired, gd nite !

yesterday was my b'day

it was my birthday yesterday (5/11) and i went to work as usual. Not many students knew that it was my b'day yesterday. only 2 from my 3D class knew and 1 from my 6A class knew. I wasnt planning on anything for my b'day. (my dad seemed to have forgotten it though). I was quite happy becasue the 2 3D students came and asked me out to dinner. i was quite happy that they asked me out. Not that i was desperate for going out.. .. well only a bit, not much. i didnt answer them at the first place because i didnt want them to spend money on me. We went out in the end and Mr Chow was with us. so i guess it was alright though.

One thing that surprised me most was that my friend, who are now in the State, called me from overseas just to say happy b'day. I was very happy that he called. thanks Spencer ^^. Also thanks to Nelson for calling me. Thanks.
Phoebe also called me on the 5th to say happy b'day. thanks Pheobe.

I was also extremely happy that my 6A class held a party for me. i didnt know what they had planned. i only knew that they were going to do something on the 5th. I was pretty touched. Thanks to Mr Mak for helping them setting up the big P. They bought me a b'day cake. it was lovely. I have some pics attached below. take a look ^^. Also a big thanks to Ray from 6B for texting me at 00:00 on the 5th. although u were beaten by Candy (6A) who got her msg through first, it wasnt bad for getting the 2nd place. ^^

Today i met 阿信, a form 5 students whom i met when i taught him 2 years ago. He said that he will go out to have lunch with me next Tues. Also want to say thanks to Cyrus. Thanks for your company tonight. It was great and i had fun playing the basketball game ^^ a big thanks.

meaningless.

been quite busy and exhausted lately. sometimes just wanna call in sick and take a day off. i always have this thought flashing in my mind early in the morning every day. I always say to myself 'just five more mins, please!! then i will wake up for work.' usually follows with many 'other five mins' until the last min. it's just the same every day. sounds daunting though.

it was S1 and S2 parents' day today. for that, i didnt go to uni. but then i thought i should have gone to uni. the duty i had today was sooooo silly. i gave up two lectures (2 hrs each) for standing at the stairs outside the school office greeting parents whose kids are not even in any of my classes.

i have an exam, deadlines of three papers and one presentation coming up within the next two weeks. if i wasnt really needed there then let me do something else better. i just didnt wanna come back just for the sake of coming back. what was the pt.

The good me: 'Oh, be nice Kai-chan. It is only fair for everyone. it is better to have every one supporting each other.'
The bad me: 'Whatever! your presence there today wasnt important AT ALL!'
The good me: 'Dont listen to the bad you. He is evil.'
Kai: 'I will say... ... DIE The good me!! What do you know!!! guess what! i am evil too!'
Then the bad me killed The good me.

The good me, may you rest in peace.. ..
